Strong start to the 2021 season as JV Gold beats bitter rival Fishers 1-0

The JV Gold team started their season off on the right foot tonight versus Fishers. The Millers were on the front foot for most of the first half with continued pressure in the attacking third. Defender Jake Hall held down the back and shut down any and all Fishers attack.

The breakthrough for the Millers came 25′ into the first half with a goal from Freshman Jacob Lysiuk. It was assisted by defender Deklan Jenski who found Jacob at the top of the box with a cool finish into the corner of the goal.

The second half was more of the same, with multiple shots from Carson Mertens and Miles Musselman. However, the Millers could not find the back of the net. Goalies Caedmon Foster and Dugan Webster kept a clean sheet along with the Miller Defense.

The Millers are back in action tomorrow afternoon versus Guerin Catholic at 5pm.
