Millers continue to show dominance in the HCC

The JV Gold team was at Zionsville tonight for another match of this season that is more than halfway over at this point.

The Millers started off quickly with a goal from Carson Mertens scoring in the 4′ with an assist from Caden Rice. There was a lull from both teams for quite a while, with the Millers missing many great chances throughout. They found the goal again with Caden Rice scoring with an assist from Aidan Howell about 30′ in.

The second half started off with Zionsville pressuring high and making some adjustments to make it difficult for the JV Gold team. The Millers responded by creating plenty of good chances but never scoring. Zionsville scored twice in the span of about 3 minutes to tie the game up with about 10′ left in the game.

Luckily, the Millers responded well with Freshman Korey Klimek finding the back of the net in the 33′. Then 1 minute later, Carson Mertens found the goal as well to give the Millers a 4-2 lead. The fourth goal was assisted by Keller Willis.

The Millers play one game next week versus Franklin Central at home.
